Zak Brown: Teams May Prioritize 2026 Car Over 2025 Development

The CEO of the Formula 1 team McLaren, **[Zak Brown](https://www.example.com)**, shared his thoughts on the allocation of resources between the 2025 and 2026 projects.

«A tough decision lies ahead for all teams. I believe that some teams may not invest much effort into developing the 2025 car and will instead focus on preparing for the new car in 2026. However, I think many will attempt to optimize their 2025 cars, as they feel there’s a chance to achieve good results.

We are working on both projects. Both models will be tested in the wind tunnel. Therefore, we intend to make progress on both fronts and assess our situation. Once the new season begins, we will evaluate how many resources we will dedicate to the current car’s development and how many will remain available. It’s important to adapt as needed,» Brown stated, as reported by GPBlog.
