Yandex Robotics Enhances Efficiency at Perekrestok Supermarkets

The supermarket chain «Perekrestok» is implementing a robotics program developed by «Yandex Robotics.» The initiative focuses on two main areas: **optimizing warehouse logistics** and **automating services in shopping centers**.

At the distribution center in Sofyino (Moscow region), an autonomous inventory robot has been launched. This robot is equipped with a suite of sensory systems, including a laser rangefinder, cameras, and specialized sensors. This technological solution enables automatic scanning of labels, verification of collected data, and algorithmic correction.

The robot can verify up to 30,000 pallets per hour, which is 500 times more efficient than manual inventory checks. The implementation of this automated system has resulted in significant operational enhancements:

— The volume of daily inventory processes has quadrupled.
— The time required for planned checks of the pallet area has been reduced from 8 hours to just 2.
— Errors in product placement have been completely eliminated.

The economic impact of the robotic system is estimated to reduce inventory costs by 30%. Additional benefits include decreased workload for personnel and an overall increase in the efficiency of the logistics operation.

Alongside streamlining warehouse operations, «Perekrestok» has introduced barista robots in two shopping centers in Moscow. These technical systems are equipped with computer vision algorithms and sensors that monitor the quality and accuracy of ingredient measurements.
