Xiaomi 16 Set to Redefine Smartphone Innovation with Larger Display, Sleeker Design, and Advanced Periscope Camera

Xiaomi 15 made its debut in India earlier this month, but already there are early leaks circulating online regarding the next model in Xiaomi’s numeric series. The Xiaomi 16 is anticipated to launch in China in October and is rumored to offer enhancements over the Xiaomi 15. It is expected to feature a larger display compared to its predecessor and include a periscope telephoto camera. These upgrades may help narrow the distinctions between the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Ultra variants.

According to Chinese insider Smart Pikachu on Weibo, there are multiple upgrades proposed for the Xiaomi 16 over its previous version. The upcoming model is rumored to have a bigger screen, indicating it may surpass the 6.36-inch AMOLED 1.5K display found on the Xiaomi 15. In contrast, the Xiaomi 15 Pro features a 6.73-inch display.

Additionally, Xiaomi is expected to deliver a lightweight and slim design for the Xiaomi 16 by incorporating a super-thin stacked periscope telephoto camera. With this new device, the Chinese smartphone maker seems to align with the trend towards more slender smartphones, a movement also being pursued by Samsung and Apple.
