Xiaomi 16 Leaked Render Reveals Stylish Dual-Tone Design with Triple Cameras Ahead of Launch

The Xiaomi 16 is anticipated to be officially unveiled in the fourth quarter of this year as the successor to the previous year’s Xiaomi 15. While we await the formal announcement, a leaked Computer-aided design (CAD) image of the device suggests what its design may look like. The leaked render shows that the Xiaomi 16 will come equipped with a triple-camera setup on the rear. Although the design bears a close resemblance to its predecessor, it reveals a dual-tone aesthetic. Speculations indicate that the Xiaomi 16 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.

An alleged CAD render of the upcoming Xiaomi 16 was shared by Maijinbu Official. In terms of design, the new model shows similarities with the Xiaomi 15. It features a hole-punch display and a squircle-shaped camera module positioned at the top left corner of the back. The camera area includes three sensors, an LED flash, and Leica branding. The volume buttons and the power button are located on the left edge of the phone.

The claimed render showcases a dual-tone finish for the Xiaomi 16. It has slightly curved edges and narrow bezels surrounding the display. The USB Type-C port, speaker, and the SIM card tray are reportedly situated on the bottom edge.

The Xiaomi 16 is expected to debut in China in September alongside the Xiaomi 16 Pro. These devices are thought to be among the first to utilize Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. Qualcomm is likely to introduce this flagship chipset during the Snapdragon Summit taking place in September this year.

According to various leaks, the Xiaomi 16 is expected to have a compact design with a 6.32-inch flat display. It is suggested to operate on the HyperOS 3 interface, based on Android 16. Furthermore, it may come equipped with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera configuration.

Previous leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 16 will have a battery capacity of around 7,000mAh. Additionally, it is rumored that Xiaomi will implement the latest silicon-carbon (Si/C) technology in both the Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro.
