Microsoft has released an update KB5052093 for Windows 11 version 24H2. This update addresses several issues, including incorrect hard drive detection, volume problems when waking the PC from sleep, and more. It also enhances the performance of File Explorer and introduces a range of new features.

Key changes include:

— A fix for a bug where Task Manager incorrectly identified the hard drive as a solid-state drive.
— An issue has been resolved that caused the volume to spike to 100% when waking the PC from sleep mode.
— Improved performance when loading folders that contain a large number of media files.
— New features for the Narrator in scanning mode: skipping a link with the ‘n’ key, jumping to the start of an item (like a table or list) using a comma, and moving to its end with a period; moving to lists using the ‘l’ key. To utilize these new functions, you must first enable the Narrator (Win + Ctrl + Enter) and then the scanning mode (Caps Lock + Space).
