Nikon Z5II Specifications, Features

The Nikon Z5II features a 24.5-megapixel full-frame Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor, capable of shooting in 4K at 60 fps or full HD at 120 fps. It reportedly supports a maximum standard sensitivity of ISO 64000 for still images and ISO 51200 for video.

This latest full-frame mirrorless camera boasts a 3.5 times faster autofocus system compared to the original Z5 model, which offers three modes — AF-A, AF-C (continuous autofocus), and AF-S. Additionally, it includes low-light autofocus capabilities that can achieve focus in conditions as low as -10 exposure value (EV).

Nikon asserts that the Z5II operates on its leading EXPEED 7 processor, combined with proprietary AI deep learning technology. The mirrorless camera has a five-axis Vibration Reduction (VR) system that provides up to 7.5 stops of stabilization. It can capture fast-moving subjects at rates of up to 14 frames per second and includes 3D tracking for precision.

Aimed at video creators, the camera supports video recording in N-LOG, HLG, and SDR modes, offering in-camera capabilities for 10-bit N-LOG and 12-bit N-RAW video recording. Its Bright EVF, rated at around 3,000 Candela per square meter, is claimed to be twice as bright as competing models.

Moreover, there is a dedicated Picture Control button for quick adjustments to visual settings. Nikon claims that the Z5II can recognize nine distinct types of subjects, ranging from people and pets to birds and vehicles, using a sophisticated subject detection system.
