Ukrainian Drone Strikes Leave 16 Wounded in Belgorod, Governor Reports

A series of Ukrainian drone strikes on the Belgorod region within the last 24 hours resulted in injuries to at least 16 individuals, according to regional officials on Wednesday morning.

Among those hurt were a physician and a paramedic, as noted by Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov in a Telegram post. He also mentioned that eight victims required hospitalization.

In response, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that its forces had intercepted and destroyed 12 drones launched by Ukraine during the night, including three over Belgorod. However, the ministry did not disclose the total number of drones that were deployed by Ukraine.

Ukraine has not provided an immediate response to these developments.

These drone attacks occurred shortly after officials from the adjacent Kursk region reported that the body of an Uzbek citizen was discovered beneath the debris of a hotel, which was reportedly hit by a Ukrainian missile over the weekend. Authorities indicated that several others were also injured in that incident.
