Ubisoft Confirms Anthology Series Based on Far Cry with New Details Still Under Wraps

In August, Ubisoft announced that the FX network would develop a series based on Far Cry, but shortly afterwards, the news disappeared from the company’s website as if it had never existed. Now, Ubisoft has revealed a new adaptation, yet there is little additional information available.

The Far Cry series will be structured as an anthology, with each season featuring different protagonists and settings. The project will be led by Noah Hawley (known for Fargo and Alien: Earth) alongside Rob McElhenney, creator of the sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. McElhenney will also appear in the adaptation of Far Cry.

Currently, there is no premiere date for the adaptation. In the United States, the Far Cry anthology will be available for streaming on Hulu, while globally, it will be featured on Disney+. Meanwhile, according to insiders, Ubisoft is working on two projects related to Far Cry: a new installment in the main series and an extraction shooter. Recently, dataminers uncovered images of the seventh installment.
