Tsunoda: Frustrated by Unmet Expectations After Austria Qualifying Struggles

Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda shared his thoughts on the qualifying results for the Austrian Grand Prix, where he finished in 18th place.

“I feel quite disappointed, especially since the pace has been good throughout the weekend, and today was the day to put everything together. It’s really frustrating that the qualifying didn’t go as I had hoped. I’m tired of things not going our way. We need to find a way to get everything aligned, as the difference between my first and second laps was too significant. I encountered some issues with balance, and the sensations from the two attempts were quite different.

Something changed between those runs, and we need to investigate what altered in the car, possibly related to the wing adjustments. My first attempt was decent, but I didn’t feel comfortable in the car during the second attempt. The gap to Max wasn’t too large, so we have a lot of work to do to ensure the car remains in a more stable window that feels more reliable from lap to lap. Tomorrow will be challenging, but I’ll do everything I can to make up for lost time,” Tsunoda’s words were quoted by the team’s press service.
