Trump Labels Putin as Completely Unhinged Following Massive Russian Air Strikes

On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump labeled Russian President Vladimir Putin as “absolutely CRAZY” in the wake of the largest airstrike in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, while also mentioning that he is contemplating new sanctions against Moscow.

«Something has changed in him. He has completely lost it!» Trump expressed about Putin on Truth Social. «I have always believed that he aims to control all of Ukraine, not just a portion of it, and perhaps this is proving to be correct. However, if that’s his goal, it will ultimately lead to Russia’s demise!»

Trump further critiqued Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, stating that he «is not benefiting his country with his speech. Everything he says creates issues; I disapprove of it, and it needs to stop.»

While speaking to reporters at a New Jersey airport, Trump remarked on Putin: «I can’t understand what’s going on with him. What in the world happened? He’s responsible for killing many people, and I’m not pleased about that.»

He also mentioned that he is weighing the option of imposing more sanctions on Russia in light of the escalating attacks.

When asked for a response to Trump’s comments on Monday, the Kremlin acknowledged America’s role in helping facilitate talks with Ukraine but suggested that the peace process might be causing Trump stress.

«Naturally, this is a very serious situation that comes with emotional challenges for everyone and can elicit strong emotional responses,» Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Over the weekend, Russian forces launched at least 367 drones and missiles from Saturday night to Sunday morning, marking what Ukrainian officials called the largest single air assault of the war. At least 12 casualties were reported, including three children in the Zhytomyr region in the north.

Although other strikes have resulted in higher casualties, the scale of weapons used in this recent attack was unprecedented, according to Ukrainian authorities.

Trump has been advocating for both sides to reach a negotiated conclusion to the war, which has now entered its fourth year, but significant differences remain between Ukraine and Russia on essential matters.
