Timeless Running: 25,000 Participants Embrace the Legend of the White Nights Marathon

Timeless sunset, thousands of runners, and, of course, the spirit of running: on the night of July 5th to 6th, St. Petersburg became the focal point of one of the country’s most significant running events — the «White Nights» marathon. For the 34th time, the enchanting ambiance of the white nights drew in approximately 25,000 participants.

Runners had the option to choose between two distances: 10 kilometers or the full 42.2 kilometers. They could also compete as part of teams. In keeping with tradition, the event included amateur and student relays. Over 100 professional athletes entered the marathon, including competitors from neighboring countries and beyond—Belarus, Kenya, China, Turkey, and Ethiopia.
