The Witcher IV Will Only Be Nominated at The Game Awards 2025

The upcoming Game Awards ceremony is sure to feature some exciting premieres. However, fans of **The Witcher** will be disappointed this time—according to **CDPR** CEO **Michał Nowakowski**, **The Witcher IV** will only attend the event as a nominee.

In a post on social media platform X, the executive expressed his pleasure that the new **Witcher** installment made it onto the list of most anticipated releases, but he also clarified that no new gameplay footage will be available at TGA.

This news isn’t surprising— the RPG centered around Ciri is set to launch no earlier than 2027. Nevertheless, development is in full swing, with a recent **CD Projekt** financial report indicating that a team of 447 people is working on the project.

As a reminder, The Game Awards will kick off on December 12 at 03:30 Moscow time. It has already been revealed that the event will showcase a trailer for **Exodus**, an action RPG involving contributions from former **BioWare** writer **Drew Karpyshyn**.
