Tekken 8: Fakumrams Return and Upcoming Patches Unveiled at the Evolution Championship Series 2025

The Evolution Championship Series 2025 is currently taking place in Japan, showcasing a series of fighting game competitions alongside various announcements. Among these, **Bandai Namco** revealed upcoming updates for [**Tekken 8**](https://www.tekken.com/) and introduced the next downloadable character: Fakumram.

Fakumram is a Muay Thai expert hailing from the **Land of a Thousand Smiles**. He made his debut in the franchise as a DLC character in [**Tekken 7**](https://www.tekken.com/) and was known for his aggressive playstyle, easily overpowering careless opponents with his skills.

However, the announcement has not been well-received by all. Fakumram gained a notorious reputation among **Tekken** fans due to his unbalanced moves, lackluster design, and negative traits. The timing of this announcement adds to the discontent, as the community is still reeling from a disastrous balance patch released in April.

According to PriceFantastic8 on [Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/), Fakumram is set to appear in **Tekken 8** this summer. In the fall, another familiar character will join the roster, while the developers are expected to introduce a completely new fighter in the winter.

**Bandai Namco** has announced three updates for **Tekken 8**. The first one will be released on May 13. The details included in patch 2.01 are as follows:

Update 2.02 is scheduled for June 3 and will feature:

As for version 2.03, there is no specific date yet, but it will be launched by the end of summer.

**Tekken 8** is available on PC ([Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1778820/TEKKEN_8/)), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, with Russian subtitles offered.
