Tecno Teases Exciting New Pova Series Phone Ahead of Imminent Launch in India

Tecno seems to be gearing up to introduce a new smartphone in the Pova series in India shortly. While the subsidiary of Transsion Holdings has yet to verify this information, an alleged teaser video showcasing the device has surfaced online. The footage features the phone sporting a camera module with a triangular design. A similar device was teased by Tecno back in January of this year. The Tecno Pova 6 series, which debuted last year, included three models: Tecno Pova 6, Pova 6 Pro, and Pova 6 Neo 5G.

91Mobiles has released an alleged promotional clip of the unreleased Pova series smartphone. The video displays the device featuring a triangular camera arrangement on the back, which contains dual camera sensors along with an LED flash. The sensors are positioned upright on the panel. The phone seems to have a box-like structure with sharp corners.

The video is accompanied by the phrase “a portal to the supreme.» There appears to be an orange stripe located beneath the camera module. Although the video does not explicitly mention the name, the lyrics suggest that it could be referred to as Tecno Pova Curve.

Tecno previously teased phones with a similar aesthetic in January. The company announced the upcoming Pova series, and the images they released displayed a comparable triangle-shaped camera module with LED lighting around it.

The forthcoming Pova series smartphones are expected to feature enhancements compared to last year’s Tecno Pova 6, Pova 6 Pro, and Pova 6 Neo 5G. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G and Pova 6 Neo 5G were released in India in March and September of the previous year, respectively. Both models are powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets and come with 108-megapixel rear cameras. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery supporting 70W wired rapid charging, while the Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G features a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging capability.
