Tagansky Court Orders Over 1.3 Million Rubles in Damages to Eteri Tutberidze for Water-Damaged Property

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow has partially upheld the claim of honored figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze against the state budget institution of Moscow, responsible for the operation of high-rise administrative and residential buildings. Tutberidze sought compensation for property damage due to flooding in the amount of 1,247,929.16 rubles.

«The claim is partially granted.

The court orders GBU Moscow ‘EVAJ’ to pay Eteri Tutberidze the amount of damages totaling 1,247,929.16 rubles, as well as compensation for moral damages amounting to 20,000 rubles, costs for damage assessment and legal services totaling 46,450.38 rubles, and state duty of 2,993 rubles.

The remaining claims are denied.

GBU Moscow ‘EVAJ’ is also ordered to pay a state duty of 11,746.65 rubles to the budget of Moscow.

This decision can be appealed in the appellate process at the Moscow City Court through the Tagansky District Court within one month from the date it is finalized,» states the court ruling.

The case was initially heard on April 22. The session took place today, May 20.
