Swiss Club President Advocates for Russias Return to International Tournaments

The president of Swiss club Sion, **[Kristian Konstantin](https://example.com/tags/42490-kristian-konstantin/)**, has commented on rumors regarding the potential return of Russian clubs and the national team to international competitions.

«In Switzerland, we are in favor of Russia’s return to international tournaments. For us, it’s perfectly acceptable. We would welcome it with great joy!» — Sport24 cites Konstantin’s remarks.

It’s worth noting that Russian midfielder Anton Miranchuk is part of Sion.

Additionally, all Russian teams, including the national squads, have been suspended from international competitions by a joint decision of FIFA and UEFA since late February 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine. Since then, the Russian national football team has participated only in friendly matches. In their March games, Valery Karpin’s team faced the national teams of Grenada and Zambia, both ending in heavy defeats of 5-0.
