Sticker Monster and L4D Comparison: Journalists Preview FBC: Firebreak from Remedy Entertainment

**Remedy Entertainment**, known for creating exceptional single-player titles like  Max Payne,  Control, and  Alan Wake II, is taking an unexpected turn into the multiplayer realm with  FBC: Firebreak. Recently, some journalists had the opportunity to explore the new gameplay of this forthcoming cooperative shooter. Let’s delve into what **Remedy** has in store for us.

The events of **FBC: Firebreak** unfold six years after the events of **Control**.

Following the conclusion of the original game, the Oldest House remains sealed off to prevent the parasitic threat known as the Ishim from escaping. However, this isolation also traps the remaining agents of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), who have been trying to survive in an extremely hostile environment. As resources dwindle and resistance becomes untenable, Jesse, the FBC director and the protagonist of **Control**, initiates the Firebreak initiative — a team of volunteers willing to venture into the most dangerous areas of the Oldest House to seek an escape route or at least slow down the bureau’s collapse. The Firebreak team comprises guards, scientists, managers, and even postal workers.

In the demonstration, each player could select from three distinct Crisis Kits — unique sets equipped with special tools and items. Here’s a detailed look at them:

— **Jump Kit** (electric attacks and battlefield control)
— **Fix Kit** (repairs and turrets)
— **Splash Kit** (water, healing, and debuffs)

Players can swap kits during missions and save up to three presets.

**FBC: Firebreak** appears to be an exciting genre experiment for **Remedy**. This project isn’t an attempt to cater to the mass market; instead, it maintains the studio’s unique identity while adapting to a cooperative format. The release is slated for summer 2025 on PC (available on Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The game will also be included in subscriptions for Game Pass Ultimate and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium.
