Leading the project is **Casey Hudson**, the game director of the original **Knights of the Old Republic** and the mastermind behind the **Mass Effect** trilogy. Hudson is developing this new title under the banner of **Arcanaut Studios**, a team consisting of industry veterans, with support from **Lucasfilm Games**.

It has been stated that the game focuses on storytelling and aims to be a spiritual successor to **Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic**.
