Stankovic: Spartak Has Time to Address Its Mistakes After Defeat to Baltika

The head coach of Moscow’s Spartak, **Dejan Stanković**, shared his thoughts on his team’s performance in the match against Baltika, part of the second round of the Russian Premier League, where the Kaliningrad club triumphed with a score of 3-0. The red-and-white squad was down to ten men from the 11th minute following the dismissal of forward **Anton Zabolotny**.

«When you’re playing with two players less, you expend more energy on the field. In such situations, mistakes can occur. However, we were prepared, and the team had undergone significant training — it was evident in the friendly matches that we gave our all. Today, Baltika played excellently, started strong, and utilized the space well. We have to give them credit for that. As for the moments that concern me less — could Babich have performed better? Yes, he could. But we have time to correct our mistakes. There are other issues that worry me more, and I’m not sure if they can be fixed,» Stanković’s remarks were conveyed by Championship correspondent Maria Kutsubeeva.
