The game Marvel’s Wolverine, announced in 2021, does not yet have an official release date, although leaked documents suggested a rough timeframe of late 2026. According to sources from the site MP1st, Insomniac Games still aims to launch the game next year. There are also reports regarding a spin-off featuring Venom.

The same insider revealed that Insomniac Games is continuing its development on the Venom game, which was first mentioned in an extensive leak of studio documents. While specific details were not obtained by the publication, the article speculated that the spin-off is currently in the pre-production phase, as most resources are directed toward Marvel’s Wolverine.

Another source provided a myriad of details about the storyline of the Venom project. However, MP1st could not confirm these claims, so they should be approached with caution. A brief summary:

MP1st also reported that Insomniac Games is allegedly seeking a way to incorporate Miguel O’Hara (Spider-Man 2099) into one of its upcoming projects. It’s still unclear whether this will be in the Venom spin-off or the next installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man. This task could be linked to the upcoming premiere of the animated film «Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse» in 2027.

While the projects from Insomniac remain shrouded in mystery, clarity regarding at least “Wolverine” may soon be on the horizon. Insider Tom Henderson mentioned that Marvel’s Wolverine is expected to be featured in an upcoming State of Play presentation, scheduled for late September.
