Spartak Legend Responds to Krikunovs Comments on Finnish Hockey in MHL Final

The legendary forward and former coach of Spartak, **[Victor Pachkalin](https://example.com)**, responded to comments made by **Vladimir Krikunov** regarding the Finnish style of play displayed by the youth team in the MHL final.

«First of all, I read Krikunov’s remarks about Spartak playing Finnish hockey. However, I have to say that I didn’t observe any Finnish hockey at all. That’s one point. Secondly, I noticed that our Spartak team was well-prepared. The players took to the ice and gave it their all; their dedication was incredible. The guys were blocking shots with their bodies!

I believe that the coaching staff did a fantastic job. It’s no secret that all the matches are available on video now; every team is reviewing them. I’m sure the Spartak coaches analyzed SKA’s game thoroughly, then brought the team together and provided instructions on how to play for each line. The guys came out, worked hard with full commitment, and started winning. It may seem like just a few words, but so much effort went into these victories! That’s my perspective.

I watched two games in Moscow with great interest! It was just wonderful, and it really lifted my spirits. Everything ended just as we hoped. The team has shown that they are strong and capable, with real leaders. We’re looking forward to tomorrow’s match and hoping for another victory!» Pachkalin shared in a conversation with Championship correspondent Vladimir Laevsky.
