Spains Tennis Team Reaches Davis Cup Semifinals for the First Time Since 2019

The Spanish tennis team has reached the semifinals of the Davis Cup for the first time since 2019.

In the quarterfinals of the 2025 Davis Cup, the Spaniards triumphed over the Czech Republic without their star player, the world number one Carlos Alcaraz.

Jakub Mensik (Czech Republic) defeated Pablo Carreño Busta (Spain) with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
Jaume Munar (Spain) triumphed over Jiri Lehecka (Czech Republic) 6-3, 6-4.
The Spanish duo Marcel Granollers/Pedro Martinez-Portero won against Tomas Machac/Jakub Mensik (Czech Republic) with a score of 7-6 (10-8), 7-6 (10-8).

It’s worth noting that in 2019, the Spanish team not only made it to the semifinals of the Davis Cup but also went on to win the title.
