Skate Story: A Journey Through Hell on a Skateboard Launching December 8

**Trailer Announcing the Release Date for Skate Story**

Publisher **Devolver Digital** and developer **Sam Eng** have revealed that the adventure game **Skate Story** will be released on December 8 for PC and consoles.

In **Skate Story**, you take on the role of a demon from hell, with a body made of pain and glass. The devil grants you a skateboard, but only under one condition: you must skate to the moon and absorb it in order to gain freedom. To achieve this, you’ll need to master ollies, kickflips, and grinds, navigating through ashen landscapes and tackling nearly impossible challenges. Skillful weight control and precise movements will be essential for executing successful tricks, while the beauty of the otherworldly realm enhances each glide.

Players will be able to pick up speed, defeat demons, assist a forgetful frog, and save tormented souls. In hell, you’ll need to cultivate humility, perseverance, and skating mastery to overcome the devil—all with just a skateboard.

**Skate Story** invites players to skate through the nine circles of the underworld, featuring diverse streets and surreal landscapes filled with ledges, pits, and demons. Gamers will have the freedom to explore the world, create their own challenges, and hone their board skills, with over 70 tricks available. Leveling up, acquiring new gear, and completing challenges will reward players for their expertise.

The game is set against a psychedelic soundtrack composed by the New York band Blood Cultures, along with recordings from **John Fio**, contributing to the hypnotic atmosphere of the demonic streets.

Skateboarding across hellish concrete in **Skate Story** will be available on PC (via [Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1263240/Skate_Story/)), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. For now, only the English localization is planned. For curious skaters, the developers have prepared a demo version.
