Samsung Unveils Powerful Smart Monitor M9 with QD-OLED Technology, Plus Upgraded M8 and M7 Models for Enhanced AI Experience

On Wednesday, Samsung introduced the Smart Monitor M9, featuring the company’s QD-LED technology alongside a 165Hz refresh rate and compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync. This latest smart monitor comes with AI-enhanced functionalities and is anticipated to receive up to seven years of operating system updates. Additionally, the South Korean tech giant has updated its Smart Monitor M8 and Smart Monitor M7 models, both of which also incorporate 32-inch 4K Ultra HD displays and AI capabilities.

The pricing information for the new Samsung Smart Monitor M9, Smart Monitor M8, and Smart Monitor M7 has not yet been disclosed. The company has mentioned that these models will be available globally in a 32-inch size starting in June, but it remains unclear which models will be launched in India.

All three newly launched Smart Monitors by Samsung feature 32-inch 4K displays; however, the Smart Monitor M9 is distinguished by its QD-LED panel, boasting a 165Hz refresh rate and an incredibly fast 0.03ms response time. According to Samsung, this monitor also holds a Pantone Validated certification and includes the Samsung OLED Safeguard+ cooling system, which aims to reduce the risk of screen burn-in.

The Smart Monitor M9 supports three AI functionalities: 4K AI Upscaling Pro, AI Picture Optimiser, and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro. Samsung asserts that these features can automatically enhance audio and video quality, tailored to the user’s environment and the content displayed.

Conversely, the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 and Smart Monitor M7 utilize vertical alignment (VA) panels. Both the M8 and M7 also feature a 32-inch 4K display and operate on Samsung’s Tizen OS.

All three models are expected to receive seven years of One UI Tizen updates. Users will be able to utilize Click to Search in regions where it’s supported, providing access to information related to the content being viewed. Moreover, users can operate Microsoft 365 applications directly on the monitor without needing a computer and they support Multi Control functionality for Multi View when used in conjunction with other Samsung devices.
