Samsung Set to Unveil Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 on July 9 at Highly Anticipated Unpacked Event

Earlier this month, Samsung kicked off its promotional efforts for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold smartphone. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement from the South Korean technology company regarding the launch date, recent leaks indicate that the Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 is scheduled for July. Additionally, the event is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 series and new Galaxy Buds.

Insider Evan Blass (@evleaks) on X has stated that Samsung will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025. The event is expected to commence at 10:00 AM EDT (7:30 PM IST). Initial speculations had pointed towards the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked taking place in New York City.

According to the latest leak, Samsung seems poised to maintain its early July timeframe for this summer’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Last year, the company introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on July 10.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: Anticipated Features

Samsung has begun hinting at its new foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is confirmed to feature upgraded AI capabilities and enhanced privacy settings. The forthcoming series is touted to be the ‘slimmest, lightest, and most sophisticated foldable to date’. The clamshell model is expected to use the Exynos 2500 processor, while the book-style variant may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

Moreover, Samsung plans to unveil an economical Fan Edition (FE) variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 alongside the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The Galaxy Watch 8 series, which is anticipated to include the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) models, is also expected at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

Additionally, there are rumors that Samsung will unveil its audio accessories, including the Galaxy Buds Core and Galaxy Buds 3 FE, at the launch. The company is also believed to introduce its inaugural XR headset, Project Moohan, and a tri-fold smartphone during this event.
