Samsung Launches One UI 8 Beta 2 for Galaxy S25 Series, Enhancing User Experience with Key Features and Fixes in Select Markets

Reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series has begun to receive the One UI 8 beta 2 build in various regions, including India. Multiple entries on Samsung’s community forums and social media networks show that users of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are accessing the beta 2 version of Samsung’s One UI 8, which is based on Android 16. This software update is expected to bring numerous enhancements and resolve some bugs. A new feedback feature aimed at improving interpreter performance has also been introduced. Users can enroll in the One UI 8 beta program using the Samsung Members application.

User contributions on the Samsung Community Forum and X indicate that Samsung has launched the One UI 8 beta 2 for Galaxy S25 series devices in India, South Korea, the UK, Germany, and Poland. The update utilizing Android 16 is reported to have the firmware version S938NKSU4ZYF3, S938NOKR4ZYF3, or S938NKSU4BYF3 for users in Germany, South Korea, and the UK, respectively.

Samsung One UI 8 Beta 2: Changelog

The One UI 8 beta 2 update screenshots indicate a file size of approximately 1.2GB. The update is said to introduce a user feedback feature aimed at enhancing interpreter functionality. It also addresses several known issues, including the misalignment of brief texts in Now, widget sizes on the lock screen, and failures in fingerprint recognition, based on the shared screenshots. Additionally, it reportedly resolves the problem of the Air Command icon disappearing when the S Pen is removed.

One UI 8 beta 2 is claimed to enhance the battery widget icon and fix issues related to low audio levels during Bluetooth calls while driving. The update is said to correct problems with notification sounds during gaming sessions and alarm sound glitches, as well as issues affecting the Galaxy AI weather and time wallpapers. Moreover, it reportedly provides software stabilization and improvements across several applications, including the Camera.

Galaxy S25 series smartphone users interested in the aforementioned regions can participate in the One UI 8 beta program via the Samsung Members app by signing in with their Samsung Account. A banner for the One UI 8 Beta Program will be displayed for users in eligible areas, and they can complete the sign-up process by tapping on it. After registration, users can navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install to obtain the Android 16-based beta update.
