Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 to Redefine Slimness with Narrow Bezels and Larger Dimensions Ahead of July Launch

Anticipation is building for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the upcoming months, with recent leaks indicating that it might be the most slender foldable smartphone ever. A source has shared the expected measurements for the new Galaxy Z Fold 7, hinting at a device that will be broader and taller compared to its forerunner, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Additionally, this next-gen Galaxy Z Fold is rumored to feature considerably narrower bezels on the interior display.

Anticipated Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Dimensions

A post on X (previously Twitter) by user Ice Cat on Friday provides a comparison of the dimensions between the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold SE (known as the Samsung W25 in China). The informant, previously recognized as Ice Universe, is noted for consistently revealing reliable details, particularly involving Samsung products.

The leaker’s table indicates that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have dimensions of 158.4×143.1×3.9mm. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 measures 153.5×132.6×5.6mm, while the Samsung W25 (or Z Fold SE) is 157.9×132.6×5.6mm.

If the leaked specifications are accurate, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will surpass both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold SE in width and height. Furthermore, it will possess a slimmer profile than both devices, regardless of whether it is folded or unfolded.

Earlier this week, the insider stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would achieve the status of the slimmest foldable smartphone upon its release later this year. At that time, it was noted that the phone would measure 3.9mm when opened and 8.9mm when closed, making it more slender than the Oppo Find N5, which has measurements of 4.21mm (open) and 8.93mm (closed).

In a subsequent post, the user proclaimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s inner display will feature a remarkably slim 1mm bezel, a significant enhancement over the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which has a 1.9mm bezel. Meanwhile, the clamshell-style Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be unveiled with a 1.2mm bezel on its cover display.

According to earlier reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are set to be launched in July. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 might be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could utilize an Exynos 2500 SoC. Further details about these devices are anticipated over the next few weeks.
