Saber Interactives Creative Director Assures No Announced Projects Have Been Canceled

After the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine III, online users began to wonder whether Saber Interactive might be taking on too many parallel projects. Some speculated that the studio could cancel several of its previously announced titles, but creative director Saber, Tim Willits, quickly stepped in to reassure everyone.

Willits stated that the company has not canceled any of its previously announced projects, so players shouldn’t be alarmed. Currently, in addition to Space Marine III, Saber is also working on at least a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando,

Turok: Origins, Jurassic Park: Survival, an unnamed title based on one of the major Hasbro franchises, and an action RPG set in the universe of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Gamers are particularly concerned about the remake of KOTOR. Initially, the project was under the purview of Aspyr, but it later transferred to Saber. After splitting from Embracer Group, the team at Saber retained the rights to the game and is determined to see it through to completion. The remake last appeared in the news almost a year ago, when Matthew Karch, the head of the company, claimed that the development was not in jeopardy and that the creators were «doing everything possible to exceed fan expectations.»
