Russias Overnight Airstrikes Devastate Northeastern Ukraine: 2 Dead, 27 Injured

Russian airstrikes overnight claimed the lives of at least two individuals and left 27 others injured in the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Sumy, local officials reported early Friday.

Ihor Terekhov, the Mayor of Kharkiv, stated that one fatality occurred in his city during the assaults, which, according to initial reports, involved ballistic missiles armed with cluster munitions.

Terekhov noted that the airstrikes affected a «very large» area, resulting in damage to 15 residential buildings.

In the meantime, the regional military administration reported on Telegram that a Russian strike employing Iranian-designed Shahed drones in Sumy resulted in one death and one injury.
