Romeo and Juliet Join the Ranks of Playable Heroes in Ravenswatch Roguelike on May 27

The creators of the cooperative roguelike Ravenswatch, the French studio Passtech Games, have revealed the release date for a free expansion featuring two new playable characters. The DLC, which introduces Romeo and Juliet, is set to launch on May 27.

Initially, the option to play as the star-crossed lovers was limited to cooperative mode, but feedback from players led the developers to allow both characters for solo gameplay as well. Nevertheless, Romeo and Juliet’s combat skills are truly showcased in co-op mode, where their unique abilities synergize effectively. The characters complement each other well—Romeo engages in close combat using a rapier, while Juliet favors long-range attacks with firearms.

Upon the release of the DLC, the game will also introduce new achievements and a minor patch to address balance adjustments and bug fixes. To remind you, in Ravenswatch, players control heroes from various fairy tales who have united their strengths to save the Dream World from the invading nightmares. The title entered early access in spring 2023 and is set for its full launch in the fall of 2024.

Ravenswatch is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, featuring Russian text localization and support for cross-platform co-op. Throughout this year, the developers plan to release another playable character, a cosmetic DLC, and two significant updates.
