Romancev Responds to Talalaevs Remarks on Foreign Coaches

The legendary former coach of Moscow’s Spartak, **Oleg Romantsev**, responded to a controversial statement made by Baltic’s coach **Andrey Talalaev**, who mentioned that he enjoys competing against foreign specialists, saying, «The more foreign coaches there are, the easier it is for us [Russians].» Romantsev finds this remark to be rather unappealing.

“I haven’t read that quote, but to me, it’s not very classy. I generally support coaches. I believe you can challenge journalists, but not your colleagues. I think that’s not right; I’ve never disrespected my peers,” Oleg Romantsev stated in a recent episode of the “Spartak Show.”
