Revolutionizing Home Cinema: Optoma Unveils World’s First Dolby Vision-Certified 4K UHD Projector in India

The Optoma UHC70LV 4K UHD projector has made its debut in India. It is marketed as the first high-brightness home cinema projector globally to receive Dolby Vision certification. In addition to Dolby Vision capabilities, it features HDR10+ support, a brightness level of 5,000 lumens, and can deliver up to 4K UHD resolution. This device can project images as large as 300 inches using dual-light laser technology. The auto-low latency mode (ALLM) is designed to provide gamers with a minimized audio-visual lag.

The Optoma UHC70LV is priced at Rs. 7,50,000 in India, as stated in a press release from the company. It will be available only in a sleek black finish. The company has not yet revealed when the projector will be available for purchase.

The Optoma UHC70LV DLP projector features dual-light laser technology, delivering 5,000 lumens of brightness, a contrast ratio of 32,00,000:1, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and UHD (3,840×2,160) resolution. Additionally, it is powered by Optoma’s PureEngine Ultra technology to enhance the contrast and comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. A special Filmmaker Mode will be accessible through an over-the-air update for more precise image and color reproduction.

The projector allows for 360-degree installation and offers vertical and horizontal lens shifts of up to 30 degrees, ensuring image adjustments can be made without distortion. Geometric correction features enable users to modify the image shape when the projector is positioned at an angle. It can project images as large as 300 inches and supports up to 1.6x zoom.

This projector comes equipped with preset ISF day and night modes, ensuring optimal picture quality in both bright and dark environments. Users also have the option to customize and adjust RGB White Balance, Colour Management System (CMS), and RGB Gain/Bias levels. It supports Apple’s iOS wireless display technology and Google Chromecast device casting. The device includes a backlit remote featuring white LED buttons for convenient access in low-light situations.

The Optoma UHC70LV boasts WiSA SoundSend certification and is outfitted with two 5W speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Connectivity options on this model include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, three USB Type-A ports, two 12V triggers, one S/PDIF port, an RJ45 LAN port, RS232, a 3D sync port, and one audio port. The projector has an IP6X dust-resistant design and dimensions of 498.1×331.1x171mm, weighing in at 9.3kg.
