Revamped Tech: Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Combines Style and Performance at an Unbeatable Price

Infinix has been progressively establishing its footprint in the laptop market. The brand frequently introduces laptops designed for various niches such as gaming and ultra-portable options. With the introduction of its Inbook Air Pro+, the company aims to shake up the market by offering a compelling value proposition. Priced at Rs. 49,990, this newest laptop features some appealing specifications, including a lightweight and slim profile, a 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor, an OLED display, and additional features. So, is this laptop worth considering? Let’s delve deeper in this comprehensive review.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Laptop Design: Slim and Portable

  • Dimensions — 315.6 x 225.6 x 15.3mm
  • Weight — 1kg
  • Colors — Silver, Brown

Infinix has ensured that you receive a premium aesthetic in this budget range with their latest offering. While many affordable laptops tend to have uninspiring designs, the Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ distinguishes itself with its elegant and lightweight construction.

The laptop is available in two color choices: Silver and Brown.

Weighing just 1kg and measuring 4.5mm at its thinnest point, this laptop ranks among the lightest and slimmest options available. Offered in Silver and Brown colors, I received the Silver variant for this review, which offers an appealing look similar to that of the MacBook Air.

The casing consists of an aluminum and magnesium alloy, which provides adequate durability. Overall build quality is satisfactory. The lid has a smooth finish with the brand’s logo centered on it. However, the lid’s sturdiness leaves some room for improvement. Initially, it feels a bit stiff to open, and the hinge does not offer the best support as there is noticeable wobble. Upon opening, you will see a backlit keyboard and a spacious touchpad.

The Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ features various useful connectivity ports.

Regarding connectivity, the laptop includes a good selection of ports for everyday needs. On the left side, you’ve got two USB Type-C ports and an HDMI port. On the right side, there’s a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Thus, the Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ not only boasts a sleek look but also offers a commendable array of ports for its price range.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Display: Crisp and Vivid

  • Display — 14-inch OLED screen
  • Resolution — 2.8K (1800×2880 pixels)
  • Refresh Rate — 120Hz

Turning to the display, the Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ comes equipped with a solid screen in a compact design. It features a 2.8K resolution (1800×2880 pixels) with a 14-inch OLED display. The color accuracy is impressive, making it enjoyable for watching movies. Thanks to the OLED panel, saturation levels are commendable. Additionally, the laptop has a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother animations compared to standard 60Hz displays.

This model is one of the few in its price range to offer an OLED screen and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The display can achieve up to 440 nits of peak brightness, which is adequate for indoor settings. However, its reflective nature may pose challenges in outdoor environments, especially if there is light behind you, as it could hinder visibility.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Keyboard, Touchpad, Speakers, and Webcam

  • Keyboard — Backlit keyboard
  • Webcam — Full HD+ IR camera
  • Speakers — Quad Speakers

Featuring a backlit chiclet keyboard, the Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ enables comfortable typing in low-light situations, with two brightness levels available via the LED backlighting.

The laptop is equipped with a backlit keyboard and a spacious touchpad.

The keyboard offers decent key travel and a bit of tactile feedback. In short bursts, the typing experience is acceptable but can lead to fatigue during longer sessions. Notably, there’s a dedicated CoPilot key positioned conveniently.

The touchpad is a large glass slab, and while the experience is generally average, it responds well without any rattling sounds on click. However, the placement of the right and left clicks at the bottom can be slightly inconvenient. Using a Bluetooth mouse may prove to be a better solution.

In terms of security, you receive an IR camera supporting Windows Hello, a feature typically absent in this price bracket. The IR-based Windows Hello performs smoothly, even in dim lighting. The Full HD camera is decent for video calls, supported by quality dual microphones that pick up sound effectively. The audio output is also satisfactory, with four speakers that can get loud but lack depth at higher volumes.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Software: Competent

  • Operating System — Windows 11 Pro
  • Other Features — Flashlink

Operating on Windows 11 Pro, the Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ is also integrated with a Copilot AI and a dedicated button for it, which is becoming common among laptops. You can easily log into your Microsoft account and interact with a chatbot for various queries. Moreover, the laptop includes the Flash Link feature, which facilitates seamless content sharing between mobile devices and the laptop.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Performance: Dependable for General Use

  • Chipset — Intel Core i5-1334U SoC
  • RAM — 16GB LPDDR4X
  • ROM — 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD
  • GPU — Intel Iris Xe Graphics

The remarkably slim and lightweight Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ is powered by the 13th generation Intel Core i5-1334U processor. It comes with 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of storage. Performance-wise, this laptop proves to be a reliable choice within its price range. I’ve assembled some benchmark results to provide insights into its performance.

Benchmark Infinix Inbook Air Pro+
Cinebench R23 Single Core 5310
Cinebench R23 Multi Core 1264
Geekbench 6 Single Core 2277
Geekbench 6 Multi Core 8168

3DMark CPU Profile 2933
3DMark Steel Nomad Light 997
CrystalDiskMark 3459.20 MB/s (Read)/ 2541.40 MB/s (Write)

As previously mentioned, this laptop performs smoothly during daily tasks such as web browsing, video playback, and document or photo editing. It’s reliable even during intensive multitasking like handling multiple tabs, streaming YouTube, and writing an article in Microsoft Word. It maintains good thermal performance throughout the day.

The Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ is driven by a 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor, ensuring stable daily performance.

However, it’s not optimal for demanding tasks like video or photo editing but serves well as an office machine. Light casual gaming is also feasible, but expectations for modern or graphically intensive games should be tempered.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Laptop Battery: Mediocre

  • Battery Capacity — 57 Wh Lithium Polymer (Typical)
  • Fast Charging — 65W USB Type-C Adapter

The Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ offers average battery performance. With a 57W capacity, it can last through a day of moderate use. However, for heavy office tasks, it may yield around five hours of battery life. On the bright side, the fast charging capability allows it to recharge completely in under two hours.

Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ Laptop Conclusion

The Infinix Inbook Air Pro+ is a notable option at its price bracket. It combines a thin and light design with a competent display and offers reliable performance for daily tasks. Nonetheless, it has its drawbacks; the reflective display makes outdoor usage challenging, and the touchpad could use improvement. Nevertheless, priced at Rs 49,990, it remains one of the slimmest and lightest laptops available, delivering consistent performance.
