Remastered Oblivion Outsells Avowed on Game Pass in 2025s First Week

The website TrueAchievements analyzed data from 3.1 million active Xbox accounts and reported on which new titles in the Game Pass catalog gained popularity this year.

The journalist compared the performance of the games during their first week. The clear frontrunner was the Oblivion Remaster, which attracted 59.9% more Game Pass subscribers than the previous champion, Avowed. If we look only at the April releases, the dominance of The Elder Scrolls IV is even more impressive, as its closest competitor, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, had 153.4% fewer players.

At the same time, TrueAchievements emphasizes that the performance of Clair Obscur should not be underestimated. In April, this French JRPG surpassed its nearest rivals, Crime Scene Cleaner and South of Midnight, by approximately 88%. Furthermore, “Expedition” ranks third in the top for the first four months of 2025, falling behind only the aforementioned “Scrolls” and Avowed.
