Remake of Assassins Creed Black Flag Expected to Launch by March 2026

According to the publication Insider Gaming, a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is expected to be released before the end of the current financial year of Ubisoft. However, the company has yet to officially announce the game, and has even issued a warning to the voice actor of Edward Kenway for making untimely hints.

Media reports indicate that the refreshed version of Black Flag is likely to launch in the week starting March 23, 2026. The Ubisoft report specifically mentions an unannounced title scheduled for the latter half of the financial year.

It’s worth noting that Kotaku first reported on the development of the Black Flag remake back in the summer of 2023, and since then insiders like Tom Henderson from the same Insider Gaming have frequently discussed the game in their updates. The original Assassin’s Creed IV was released in October 2013.
