Release of Inkscape 1.4.2: Enhanced Features and Improved File Support Unveiled

On May 12, 2025, the open-source, cross-platform vector graphics editor Inkscape 1.4.2 was released. This project offers versatile drawing tools and enables users to save images in various formats, including SVG, OpenDocument Drawing, DXF, WMF, EMF, sk1, PDF, EPS, PostScript, and PNG.

Precompiled builds of Inkscape are available for Linux, macOS, and Windows (including a portable version). The source code can be found on GitLab. The stable version, Inkscape 1.3, was launched in June 2023, while Inkscape 1.4 was released in October 2024.
