Regulations Cant Cover Everything: RFU President Dyukov on Khimkis Licensing Crisis

The president of the Russian Football Union, **Alexander Dyukov**, provided comments on the situation regarding FC Khimki, which did not receive the RFS-1 license to participate in the upcoming season of the RPL.

“An administrative decision has been made concerning FC Khimki, and now a decision will be reached on who will replace them. It’s impossible to detail every aspect in the regulations, and no federation attempts to do so. This decision will be made by the league. Unfortunately, such situations do occur. I wouldn’t dramatize what has happened. We are awaiting feedback from the RPL and FNL. After that, the executive committee will make a decision. It’s possible that there might be 15 teams, but I doubt that. The RFS and RPL had no plans to reduce the number of teams,” Dyukov’s words were reported by Championship correspondent Vladimir Tcheterik.
