Prepare for Action: The Rogue Prince of Persia Launches on Switch and Switch 2 This December!

Ubisoft and Evil Empire have released a trailer for The Rogue Prince of Persia, announcing the launch date for the game on Switch and Switch 2. This roguelite platformer is set to arrive on the new platforms on December 16.

The versions for Nintendo consoles have been fine-tuned for both handheld and docked play. The release will feature all content from version 1.0, including various biomes, weapons, medallions, and enhanced visuals. Players can expect smooth combat, dynamic parkour, and an engaging story about redemption, no matter where they are.

To remind you, in The Rogue Prince of Persia, players will become the hero of the tale about a prince spared by death—returning to the land of the living after every demise. This grace allows the protagonist to amend past mistakes and save Persia, carving his path through combat and parkour.

The Rogue Prince of Persia began its early access phase on PC in spring 2024. A full release followed in August 2025 on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, as well as the Ubisoft Store, and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game is also available through subscription services Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, with a text translation available in Russian.

Physical editions of The Rogue Prince of Persia for PlayStation 5, Switch, and Switch 2 will be available starting April 10, coming in two editions: standard and Immortal. The latter includes the game, a double-sided poster, a card set, and a steelbook. Pre-orders will begin on November 14.
