Prepare for Action: La Quimera, the New Shooter from Metro Creators, Releases April 25

The narrative-driven action game La Quimera is set to launch on April 25. The price tag is $29.99 / €29.99, with the project being developed by the studio Reburn, previously known as 4A Games Ukraine.

Set in 2064, the game unfolds in a world ravaged by a series of natural and man-made disasters, leading to the collapse of global systems and the fragmentation of society. The newly emerged microstates see no purpose in maintaining their own armies and rely heavily on mercenaries, marking the dawn of the golden age for private military companies. Players take on the role of a PMC operator undertaking perilous missions in a dystopian Latin America.

You can play solo or team up with two friends online. The mercenaries are equipped with high-tech weaponry, exoskeletons, and combat abilities. Players need to strategically combine skills and gear to defeat gangs, stealthy snipers, and elite special forces. Additionally, the developers have highlighted enemies that include flying robots capable of crawling along walls and ceilings.

La Quimera will be available on PC through Steam. On the game’s page within Valve’s service, players can sign up for a closed beta test starting April 12 at 5 PM MSK, lasting for 24 hours. During the closed beta, users will have the opportunity to play a significant mission from the middle of the campaign; both single-player and cooperative modes will be available.

The list of supported languages for La Quimera currently includes only English.
