Over 4 Million Players Add Resident Evil Requiem to Their Wishlist Ahead of Release

There are just under two months left until the release of Resident Evil Requiem, which has prompted the team at Capcom to celebrate yet another milestone: since its official announcement, the game has made its way into four million wishlists. For context, the previous benchmark of three million was surpassed back in November.

The heightened interest among fans is attributed to the recent trailer showcased at The Game Awards 2025, where developers officially introduced the second protagonist, Leon Kennedy. This iconic series hero will partner with a new character—FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft.

Grace is completely defenseless in combat, meaning her gameplay will focus on stealth and horror elements. In contrast, the battle-hardened Leon will continue to confront undead foes and mutants head-on. The storyline of this ninth installment will take players back to the devastated Raccoon City, set thirty years after the bombing that concluded Resident Evil 2. Despite the destruction, the city still harbors dangers and dark secrets. Players can experience the game from either a first-person or third-person perspective.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on February 27 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2, featuring full Russian localization.
