OMalley Dismisses Khabibs Proposal to Eliminate Breaks in UFC Fights

A 30-year-old former UFC bantamweight champion (under 135 lbs) from the United States, Sean O’Malley, humorously responded to the suggestion made by 36-year-old UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC lightweight champion (under 155 lbs) from Russia, Khabib Nurmagomedov, to eliminate the breaks between rounds in fights organized by the promotion.

«There should be more breaks. Give me, damn it, a break every time I get knocked down,» said O’Malley, as reported by the Red Corner MMA account on the social media platform X.

Currently, the North American league has one-minute breaks between five-minute rounds.
