Nothing Teams Up with KEF Audio to Revolutionize Sound; Exciting New Products on the Horizon

The UK-based original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Nothing, has formed a strategic alliance with KEF, a distinguished British company known for crafting premium audio products including high-fidelity speakers, subwoofers, wireless speakers, and headphones. Nothing has also hinted at the upcoming launch of new audio devices later this year, which are expected to be fine-tuned by KEF. In addition to true wireless stereo earphones, the brand may expand into additional audio product categories. In 2024, Nothing introduced the Ear Open, the Nothing Ear and the Nothing Ear A TWS headphones.

Nothing Unveils Collaboration With KEF Audio

Nothing revealed the strategic partnership with KEF in a press announcement on Tuesday. The company aims to «explore new horizons in sound innovation» and aspires to deliver «enhanced audio experiences to a wider audience.»

The London-based firm emphasizes that the collaboration between the two organizations exemplifies their «dedication to craftsmanship, engineering excellence, and bold design.» This partnership is anticipated to blend Nothing’s design creativity with KEF’s high-fidelity audio knowledge.

The company has stated that a number of «collaboratively developed acoustic products» are currently underway. These are projected for global market release later this year and will likely consist of new headsets crafted with KEF’s tuning. Nothing has not yet disclosed the names of the forthcoming audio offerings.

Nothing asserts that this collaboration will allow it to broaden its audio portfolio and explore new product categories. The company’s Head of Smart Products Marketing, Andrew Freshwater, mentioned that the anticipated launch of new Nothing audio products later this year will «signify the dawn of an exciting new chapter.»

Grace Lo, President & Head of Global Marketing at KEF, noted that the partnership will enable the integration of its «acoustic heritage into a contemporary context,» aiming to «redefine what premium audio should look and feel like for the new generation.»

It’s worth mentioning that Nothing launched standard Ear TWS earphones alongside an Ear A variant in April 2024. The Nothing Ear headphones retail at Rs. 11,999, while the Ear A series is priced at Rs. 7,999. Additionally, the Nothing Ear Open, set at Rs. 17,999, was unveiled in September last year and marks the brand’s first open ear headphones.
