In the lead-up to the launch, the company has been hinting at the arrival of these devices through its various social media platforms. Most recently, Nothing shared a new image on Tuesday that gives clues about the rear camera module of the Phone 3a series. It has been confirmed that the upcoming models will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets.

The UK-based brand showcased an image of the rear camera assembly of the Nothing Phone 3a series on X (formerly Twitter). This image reveals three camera sensors along with an LED flash, suggesting the inclusion of a telephoto camera. However, it remains unclear if this module pertains to the regular Phone 3a or the Pro version.

The periscope telephoto camera will allow users of the Nothing Phone 3a series to take shots from considerable distances. This latest range will mark the brand’s first use of dedicated sensors for optical zoom. Previous models have been fitted with wide and ultra-wide cameras.

According to earlier leaks, both the Nothing Phone 3a and the Phone 3a Pro are anticipated to come with three rear camera configurations, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The Pro model is rumored to include a 50-megapixel 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT-600 telephoto secondary camera, offering optical image stabilization (OIS), up to 3x optical zoom, and support for 60x hybrid zoom. Meanwhile, the standard Phone 3a is expected to be equipped with a telephoto camera capable of 2x optical zoom. The devices will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset and may include batteries with a capacity of 5,000mAh.

The launch of the Nothing Phone 3a series is scheduled for March 4 in global markets including India, with availability set through Flipkart. The devices will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Chennai.
