Nikolaev Highlights Competitors Weaknesses at MAZ-SportAuto

The leader and driver of the «КАМАЗ-мастер» team, **[Eduard Nikolaev](#)**, expressed hope that the competitors from the Belarusian team «MAZ-Sportauto» will see improvements from their other crews, aside from their lead driver, Sergei Viazovich.

«I wish Sergei would focus more on his other teams. At a recent press conference, he mentioned that we have five crews at ‘КАМАЗ,’ while they only have three. However, this actually reflects positively on the truck category and allows opportunities for growth. It would have been more appropriate to say, ‘These guys did a great job managing to field five crews.’

Moreover, after his accident, Sergei announced that ‘MAZ’ would not participate in Ulyanovsk because their truck is being retired. Honestly, I thought to myself, ‘Sergei, why is that? If you’re not going, your teammates should still go and practice. You could accompany them as a mechanic, sit in the cab, and provide guidance. If you want your drivers to improve, participate in the rally with them,’” Nikolaev stated in an interview with Championat correspondent Evgeny Kustov.
