New Era of Affordable Audio: Noise Buds Venus ANC Earphones Deliver Premium Features Under ₹2,000

The Indian audio brand Noise has emerged as a top player in the personal audio market, primarily due to its attractive pricing and the ability to include features usually seen in higher-end products. This strategic approach has helped Noise secure a dominant position in various rapidly growing gadget categories, such as earphones and smartwatches. Its latest offering continues this trend by providing a feature often reserved for premium devices at a price point under Rs. 2,000.

With a price tag of Rs. 1,899, the Noise Buds Venus true wireless earphones feature active noise cancellation, making this once-luxurious feature accessible due to competitive pricing. As one of the most affordable true wireless earphones with ANC currently available, the Noise Buds Venus offers considerable value. Does this make the Venus the top choice for true wireless headsets under Rs. 2,000? Let’s find out in this review.

Design, Features, and Specifications of Noise Buds Venus

Most true wireless earphones today often have a rather generic appearance, but the Noise Buds Venus stands out with a design that aligns well with the brand’s aesthetic. The earpieces exhibit an appealing mix of glossy and matte finishes, harmonizing with the charging case’s appearance and distinguishing them from other options in this price range that reflect a more budget appearance.

The Noise Buds Venus earpieces incorporate touch-sensitive controls and an in-canal fit that enhances noise isolation, benefiting the active noise cancellation feature. While slightly larger and protruding, each earpiece weighs a mere 3.5g and remains comfortable during use. The default medium-sized ear tips provided are a good fit, but extra pairs—three in total—allow for some customization. The package also includes a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable and an instructional manual to help familiarize users with the controls.

Interestingly, while the Noise Buds Venus includes features typical of more premium models, such as active noise cancellation and low-latency gaming mode, it lacks a companion app for further customization. The product supports environmental noise cancellation through a quad-microphone array that enables ENC, ANC, and voice calls.

Controls on the Noise Buds Venus are intuitive, though not customizable due to the absence of an app. Users can manage all functions directly through the earpieces, as explained in the instruction manual. With some practice, you’ll find the controls easy to master, utilizing various tap combinations to manage playback, volume, ANC, and gaming mode.

The charging case for the Noise Buds Venus is conveniently sized, equipped with a USB Type-C port at the bottom and an indicator light located just below the brand logo. It fits comfortably in a pocket, supports fast charging, and is adequately sized to provide multiple extra charges for the earpieces—more details on that to follow. The headset is available in four appealing colors: black, brown, green, and ivory.

On the specifications front, the Noise Buds Venus is outfitted with 10mm dynamic drivers and Bluetooth 5.3, compatible with SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. The earpieces carry an IPX5 water resistance rating, allowing them to withstand minor water splashes and sweat with ease. Additionally, they offer voice assistant support, which activates the default assistant on your connected smartphone.

Performance and Battery Life of Noise Buds Venus

The combination of true wireless earphones with active noise cancellation priced below Rs. 2,000 is impressive, and what’s even better is that the Noise Buds Venus performs quite admirably. This performance is partially credited to its solid technical specs, including AAC codec compatibility and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as reasonable tuning for the price.

Given that many budget wireless earphones struggle in this area, proper tuning is a significant advantage for the Noise Buds Venus. I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity and straightforwardness of the sound, providing a commendable balance of sonic precision and detail.

Listening to «Paris (Aeroplane Remix)» by Friendly Fires at moderate volumes offered just the right amount of low-end impact and subtle high-end brightness throughout the lively track. This made for an enjoyable listening experience, allowing me to immerse myself in the music without any annoying distractions. That’s the essence of budget wireless earphones, and the Noise Buds Venus delivers a solid performance with minimal effort.

Volume adjustments do not compromise sound quality more than expected, and Importantly, there isn’t a specific ‘sweet spot’ where the Noise Buds Venus performs optimally. This is beneficial, allowing me to adjust my listening level based on my surroundings or mood; I found that a volume setting of around 60 percent sufficed for indoor use, while 70 percent worked well outdoors.

The Noise Buds Venus feature active noise cancellation without an app, which isn’t a significant drawback since all functions can be managed via the earpieces

The Noise Buds Venus can reach quite high volumes if necessary; however, I noted some roughness in the audio beyond 90 percent volume. It’s unlikely one would need to reach such high levels in typical usage, but the Noise Buds Venus can keep up with modern music genres even at moderate volumes. Call quality is adequate for most situations, although the earphones displayed some difficulties in louder environments during voice calls.

Active noise cancellation on the Noise Buds Venus is quite basic, as expected for this price range, providing only a modest reduction in ambient noise without completely blocking it out. Even common indoor sounds, such as the whirring sound from a ceiling fan, were still audible with ANC activated, while external noises were even less impacted.

That said, it does help make music more enjoyable even at moderate volume levels; hence, it isn’t entirely without benefit. However, it doesn’t quite match up to the ANC performance of some relatively affordable alternatives like the Oppo Enco Air 3 Pro. So, consider ANC as an extra feature rather than a key selling point of the Noise Buds Venus.

Battery performance on the Noise Buds Venus is satisfactory for its price. With active noise cancellation enabled and volume set to 60 percent, the earpieces lasted about 5 hours on a single charge, while the charging case provides an additional four charges for the earpieces. This translates to around 25 hours of total listening time per charge cycle. Even with a range of uses, I found that I could easily approach the performance I observed during my testing. The charging case offers fast charging, with a 10-minute charge providing roughly 2 hours of playback time.

Conclusion

Sound performance and battery longevity are commendable, coupled with a simple design that leaves little to criticize. This might be the best option available under Rs. 2,000 in the market, especially with the added benefit of ANC, making it certainly worth considering if you’re on the lookout for budget true wireless earphones right now.
