Netflix Assures That Assassins Creed Series is Still Actively in Production

Back in 2020, both **Netflix** and **Ubisoft** announced their collaboration on a live-action show inspired by **Assassin’s Creed**. However, there have been no significant updates regarding the adaptation since then. Could it be that the project has been quietly shelved? According to **Alain Tascan**, the head of Netflix’s gaming division, that isn’t the case.

He mentioned this during a conversation with **Stephen Totilo** from Game File. Furthermore, the project is currently «in active production.» No additional details have been provided on the matter. It’s worth noting that in 2023, the adaptation lost its showrunner, **Jeb Stuart**, known for contributing to the scripts of movies like **Die Hard** and **The Fugitive** (1993).

On the other hand, the previously announced mobile game based on **Assassin’s Creed**, which was also a joint effort by **Netflix** and **Ubisoft**, will not be launched. There has been no information released about this mysterious title.

This isn’t the first time a project based on the Assassin’s series has failed to materialize. In 2017, fans were thrilled by news of an anime adaptation of the franchise, but there have been no further developments since then.
