NBA Commissioner Highlights Potential Benefits of Expanding Collaboration with Europe

The commissioner of the National Basketball Association (NBA), **Adam Silver**, discussed the benefits of the league expanding into the European market.

“One aspect of growth that comes to mind is the potential for creating additional tournaments worldwide. Approximately five years ago, we established a league that features existing clubs in Africa… We have also explored the possibility of launching a league in Europe. I view this as another avenue for expansion.

We believe there is an opportunity to engage fans in Europe—this would certainly impact European basketball, especially since many of the international MVPs I’ve mentioned come from that region. The level of basketball played there is truly exceptional, and we think there are ways to connect more effectively with fans. Thus, I see this as a significant form of expansion, and it’s something we’ve been contemplating a great deal,” Silver’s remarks were reported by Sportsnet.
