Mundfish Unveils Atomic Heart 2 and the Multiplayer RPG Shooter Cube at Summer Game Fest 2025

During the Summer Game Fest 2025, the gaming company Mundfish unveiled Atomic Heart 2, featuring enhanced combat mechanics, a more in-depth RPG system, and a “living” world built on the Unreal Engine 5. The developers also shared insights into their multiplayer RPG-shooter titled Cube.

“Atomic Heart 2 is an action-adventure RPG set in a dynamic world brimming with diverse opportunities, putting a significant emphasis on storytelling, role-playing elements, and player freedom. The sequel explores new narratives within a retro-futuristic universe that deviates from history as we know it, with events that escalate to a global scale,” explained Mundfish.

The plot of Atomic Heart 2 delves into fresh developments in a retro-futuristic setting, which the creators claim will have an even broader scope this time around. Players can expect to encounter both beloved characters from the original game and new heroes.

“Step back into a magnificent world of science and technology and discover what this next chapter holds. Prepare for new perilous adventures that will offer a uniquely different gaming experience and raise the benchmark for the genre,” the game description states.

According to the developers, the sequel promises even more realistic graphics, an enriched RPG system designed to enhance immersion in the game’s “living” world, and an improved combat system that allows the use of both hands simultaneously, enabling players to combine glove skills with various weapons.

On February 21, 2023, the shooter Atomic Heart was launched by Mundfish on Xbox consoles, including Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation, and PC via Steam and VK Play.

Additionally, Mundfish announced Cube—a multiplayer RPG shooter that features a living world, engaging quests, and formidable bosses. The game’s events will unfold on a colossal, anomalous cube composed of various biomes. Players will discover punch cards to enhance their equipment during their “expeditions.” The game can be explored solo or cooperatively. While Cube currently does not have a specific release date, it does have a page on Steam.
