Minix NEO Z350-0dB: The Silent Mini PC with Advanced Passive Cooling

Minix has unveiled its latest mini-PC, the NEO Z350-0dB, which features an Intel Core 3 N350 processor and a completely passive cooling system. This machine is designed for users who prioritize a quiet operation, compact size, and reliability.

Founded in 2008, Minix has established itself as a manufacturer of small, energy-efficient mini-PCs suitable for both personal and professional use. Their products are commonly utilized in offices, digital signage, POS systems, and various commercial applications.

The heart of the Z350-0dB is the mobile, eight-core Intel Core 3 N350 processor based on the Gracemont architecture (7 nm), capable of boosting up to 3.8 GHz. The device includes 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM in a SO-DIMM format (note that it has only one slot and the processor does not support larger capacities) and a 512 GB SSD with a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface (this can be upgraded to a drive of up to 4 TB). Graphics are handled by the Intel UHD Graphics integrated GPU, which supports AV1 decoding and enables the connection of two external 4K displays.

On the front panel, you’ll find two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB-C port (data transfer only), a combined 3.5 mm audio jack, and a microSD card slot. The rear panel is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports, two HDMI 2.0 video outputs, a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port, and a power connector. Wireless connectivity is facilitated through a Wi-Fi 6 module and Bluetooth 5.2, connected via an M.2 (E-Key) interface.

Housed in a sturdy metal chassis measuring 123×123×46 mm, the device features a large heatsink that ensures passive cooling without any fans. This design results in a completely silent mini-PC and reduces the number of components that may require maintenance or replacement over time, ultimately enhancing reliability. The lack of fans eliminates mechanical failure points, which is particularly advantageous for scenarios requiring prolonged uptime.

The Minix NEO Z350-0dB is suitable for office tasks, educational settings, automation applications, digital showcases, and home use, such as a silent media center or thin client. With its passive cooling and compact footprint, the device integrates effortlessly into a variety of work and living spaces.

It comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro and is available for order on the manufacturer’s official website at a price of €352. Official shipments to Russia have not yet commenced, but delivery from Europe is possible. However, considering the potential shipping costs, the final price could be significantly higher.
