Mid-Race Struggles: Ebba Andersson Reflects on Her 10km Performance in Ruka

Two-time Olympic medalist and six-time world champion in cross-country skiing, Ebba Andersson, shared her thoughts on her performance in the 10 km individual start race using classical technique during the first stage of the 2025/2026 World Cup in Ruka, Finland. She finished fourth, finishing 21.2 seconds behind the winner, her fellow Swede Frida Karlsson.

«My first lap was solid, but around the middle of the course, I started to struggle, and I wasn’t able to recover as I had hoped. It’s psychologically challenging right now to feel like I’m not bouncing back as I would like. But this can happen at this time of year. I think I need to focus on my current condition and keep moving forward,» Andersson said, according to SVT.
